Dietpi Roonbridge issues

I’m new to this. Just built a Raspi2 installed DietPi - Digi+Pro hat. Ran roonbridge install from dietpi-software. Roon core is not seeing the Pi at all. I can see and ping it from Fing on my network I can also open in putty. Am I missing something? Do I need to activate something else?

You are aware that a legible audio output must be available for the endpoint to show in Roon?
That means that the Hifiberry Digi+ Pro must be properly selected in DietPi-config. (It’s easy to select, say, the Digi+ but that wont do)
Give us the putput of:

aplay -l

That should display the correct driver of your choice!

Thank you for the help! I’ve been at this since yesterday!
root@DietPi:~# aplay -l

I currently have s/pdif out from digi+ to Yamaha

Excellent! I assume it’s working as expected?
Now, next step is to try an USBridge or so!

Unfortunately it isn’t. For some reason I can not see and connect to it through Roon Core. My previous device was Yamaha playing through Airplay. I can still see that there, but was unhappy with the downsampling of Airplay, hence the Pi build. I’m totally confused. As I stated before I can access/ping/see it on my network as active.

Hi Joe,

We had an issue with our v6.12 update which caused issues with Roon Bridge. This was quickly fixed, however, there was a few hours window where updating at that time would cause this issue.

Please see the following post for the fix:

(update) I wanted to thank you all for the help and let you know that a clean wipe\format and reinstall of dietpi did the trick! Up and running+
