Difference Tidal and Qobuz version

I have a Tidal and Qobuz subscription.

For EXAMPLE,
music „Santana“ from the group Santana are available in Tidal and Qobuz both in hires FLAC 96kHz and 24 bit.

BUT when it’s select the Tidal version AND start play, the little star beside the play keys show a different music format as in Qobuz.

It’s always that Tidal only play 44/16 independent what is display and select before. So both Version are the same format FLAC 96/24 in Tidal and Qobuz.

Both are also NOT MQA related…

I see no difference in my setup for Tidal and Qobuz, where ever I could makeover.

Please help here.

I have a Trinnov AL32 and Meridian DSP if that is important?

Thanks for any help
Robert

Hi @RobertW,

In Roon Settings, Tidal make sure you have it set to play “Max” quality.

Thanks Carl, that was the case!

But I don’t remember to edit something before.
It was high bit not max.

I checked my Tidal account on the internet and my “individual subscription” shows only high?
I can’t edit that to max, it’s blocked?

But, when I make a playlist in Tidal and import/synchronise that in Roon, I have the maximum resolution, strange.

I tried another music, “Sgt. Pepper`s Lonely Hearts Club” …

Many different version and track counts.

The 13 tracks version 1 - NON Remastered.
