The Nucleus is a shelf-top unit not really designed for pro rack mounting. That said, the model from 2021 (Nucleus Rev B) has the following dimensions:
Width: 10.5 inches (26.7 cm)
Height: 2.5 inches (6.4 cm)
Depth: 10.5 inches (26.7 cm)
There are a few considerations to keep in mind if you’re attempting to put the Nucleus in a 2U rack.
The first is thermal management. The Nucleus will fit with extra side space, but you need to ensure the top and bottom stay clear as well. It’s best to keep an open slot above and below the unit to allow for proper airflow and prevent heat retention issues.
The second is the network connection itself. What equipment do you intend to rack alongside the unit, and what cable requirements will be involved?
