I’m having an issue where one particular album I’ve added to my folders will not appear in my library. I force Roon to rescan the folder that contains my whole library, and while I watch, the album art will flash in Roon for a brief second and then disappear. It’s not available for me to listen to.
However, if I go and add the specific album folder as a location to watch, it pops in immediately.
It does not show up if I change the folder name or move the folder to a different location within the library. I have to add the one album folder as a watched location. So I have Roon watching my full library folder and then one specific folder within it, which is ridiculous.
This happens to me off and on, and I cannot, for the life of me, sort out why it happens. The tracks are not listed in the skipped files section. Any ideas?
Further to the above, how are you trying to find this album? The behaviour you describe can happen when you add a duplicate album (ie one already in your Library) so Roon shows it briefly before storing it away as a Version (so it does not show as recently added). It should still be searchable though.
I threw up my hands and tried restoring my library from a backup, and once I did that, the album stopped disappearing. No idea what the underlying cause was, but thank you!
