I have also noticed this behaviour. Was going to check whether I’m hallucinating or maybe the artist is on both albums, but when I read the OP, it looks like it’s not a coincidence.
Are you able to reproduce this behavior on a Roon web display, or just on the Chromecast?
If the issue reproduces on a Web Display zone, it could be easier to troubleshoot on our end, otherwise, we would need to look into common hardware commonalities for the issue.
Can let us know the exact local time + date + track playing when it occurs again? Logs might reveal further clues.
(Un)fortunately, yesterday and today the display function via Chromecast was working fine. I keep an eye on it for a couple of more days, and if the issue occurs again will provide logs.
However, as you suggested Web display zone, I checked that, and that is not working as it should. I tested it on 3 different platforms with 3 different browsers:
Lenovo laptop-Chrome
iPad - Safari
Microsoft Surface-Edge
As for me, this was not on any external display but in the Roon app. I can’t tell right now if it’s still happening because I’m currently listening to a lot of completely new music, so I wouldn’t easily notice if things didn’t match…
After navigating to the web page, you will also need to go into the Roon app and start the display zone (bottom right volume icon → display icon → web browser listing → display now).
Sounds like a plan, do let us know how further testing goes!
As this issue has not reoccurred up till now, I propose to close this issue.
If it happen to re-occur in the future, I will create a new request, including log details.
Thanks for the update! I’ll go ahead and close the thread per your request, and should the issue re-occur, just let us know and we can pick this back up again, thanks!
