Display Suggestion/Request

Hi,

Couple of requests/suggestions, I couldnt find these after a search but I’m sure I’m not the only one wanting these changes!

FYI - I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab s7 to use the Roon app. I am using the full screen option using the Roon app.

  • Is it possible to resize the artist circles/icons? There are 10 circles/icons on screen at a time, can we have an option to resize (make smaller) so we can fit more on screen? Seems like wasted screen real estate…

  • Same thing for the Folder view. I can only fit 5 folders/lines on the screen at a time. Can we have an option to resize these to make them smaller and fit more on screen?

  • Are we supposed to see album art on folders containing albums? I have embded art, cover.jpg and folder.jpg and Roon doesnt seem to display art on the folder icons. I think Roon is the only music management software I’ve come across that doesnt display this when art files are present.
If Roon doesnt do this at present, please could it be added?

Thanks in advance!

does allow for more covers help

Hey Mike,

Yes thanks, it reduced the artist icon size so it can fit more on-screen - still wasted space though. Can this be further reduced to fit more on? I use the tablet in landscape so fitting as much on screen as possible is important.

It didnt make a difference to the folder view/didnt add folder art though. Can the folder size be reduced to fit more on screen and add art to the folder view?

No its a 2 size , on or off , affecting the main views Artist , Album Composers etc where there are “icons” , any vertical view Compositions etc wouldn’t make sense

Its been in Roon for years maybe even from the start, long before Folder View , but folders are essentially vertical so it wouldn’t really help,

Roon should display these. Do you have the correct import settings? Prefer file, is what you should have.

Also, it could help to clear the image cache.

Thanks, I’ll try this

No, @Arlen, Roon does not display cover art on the folder icons in Roon’s Folder browser. The Artwork setting in the Import screen is for the Album browser display.

I answered this before my first coffee… didn’t read ‘folder’ and assumed ‘album view’.
