I’d like to see “Track format” and “album date” shown on the “displays” screen, possibly optionally so as not to clutter the display for those those who don’t wish to see it. Thanks for your consideration.

You would like it, I would hate it. An option would fit both.
Please no… I love the minimalistic look.
The “now playing” screen is the place to put more info in my view.

I imagine these could be easily updated to allow user configuration. Keep the existing one as the default layout, but allow a user to create a new view with details, art etc as options, and then associate that with a particular display. The bigger your screen the more you might want to show. Then your pi display gets a simple set of info (as it is now) but your 42" LCD could have tonnes of info.

I would like to see in the “now playing” Play count, Album date, playlist and Tag.
Of course, this must be an option to not scare other users. 
and by default disable.
