Does HQPlayer have a "Passthrough" Mode?

Hi @jussi_laako, I have just installed HQPlayer on a Mac Mini M2 using a wired ethernet NAA endpoint based on SoTM Neo200 Ultra. I am starting to experiment with the various filters available. I would actually like to compare them with the unadulterated feed from Roon. Is there an option in HQPlayer for it to passthrough the stream with no digital intervention? Whilst I can reconfigure the SoTM back to a Roon endpoint this isn’t very elegant.

Thanks for your help
Shaun

No easy way, other than you can switch to “none” filter. But of course that won’t work for the most typical use case which is SDM output mode.

OK. Thanks - just wanted to be sure.

I use embedded and desktop. I set vol to 0db, n and nx to none, dither to none and output to pcm. Jussi does mention this in the manual under the dither settings for none. I find this useful when playing my pggb files. I don’t think Jussi recommends pggb files of course but it is an effective way to get bit perfect according to the manual.

That may work only if many other conditions are true. Such as that you don’t have Direct SDM enabled. And that you don’t have any other DSP configured, such as matrix, convolution, speaker configuration, etc.

No, I don’t recommend such files and I wouldn’t use such myself.
