Does "Native DSD512" means Roon will losslessly play DSD512 tracks without conversion?

When a portable DAC, in the case of Mojo 2 says native DSD512, does this mean Roon will losslessly play DSD512 tracks through the Mojo 2 feeds and headphones?

Thanks for your reply.

DAC capabilities in general depend on the OS it’s attached to if it’s USB and the capabilities certified in roon usage.

Is the current Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1 a part of the Roon Certified path with Mojo 2 DAC?
Thanks

Macs don’t do native DSD at all it only supports DoP so the DAC needs to support this as well which most do/ As this is DSD encapsulated in a PCM stream and it will only manage DSD256 as it doesn’t have the PCM rate high enough to encapsulate the streams for DSD512. MacOS is not the best choice if you want DSD especially at the higher rates.

Guess I will need to run Windows Roon using Parallels Desktop on a MacBook Pro.
Thank goodness current MacBook Pros have up to 96GB RAM.
