Does removing the library help Roon memory leaks?

Hi there, not sure if you were replying to me. There’s no reason for me to go looking for a problem or log files for a problem that I’m not experiencing. If my ROCK server had a memory leak logic suggests I would have to reboot it every now and then to alleviate slowdowns or freezes, which I don’t have to do. I’ve previously had media centres running Windows and they introduce so many more variables (making troubleshooting more difficult) and use so much more in the way of resources that they’re not worth it - particularly if it’s a low spec device (in my opinion and from my experience, which is all I can offer). The only slowdowns I have experienced are when I’m adding to the library and it’s doing analysis for dynamic range, in this circumstance DSD256 upsampling is too much for it, but that’s not an issue with ROCK it’s just me pushing a low spec NUC beyond its limits.

My month old ROCK server. Only rebooted it twice so far. The first time was after it had completed importing my library. Cause I wanted it to give it a fresh boot. The second time was because I had to rearrange the power plugs on the power brick to make room for a new adapter.

But since that it has been running non stop without issues on my tiny little NUC.

12 gb of RAM is plenty it seems for my library. About 82k local, the rest a combination of Qobuz and Tidal.

I did have frequent reboots in the past when using my Mac’s as host for the Roon Server. All had 8 gb of RAM and a smaller libary to contend with. About 80k total (local + streaming).

Edit

Looks like it is time to update the software
