Does Roon run smoother as a client on Windows 11 or on Mac M1 Machines?

Roon runs OK on any platform so long as it meets Roon’s requirements. If there are any issues it is down to other factors. Obviously we all have our personal preferences so a Mac user will always prefer what he is familiar with, as would a Windows user. Are you having any specific issues?

I’m a Mac fan - but late last year switched to use a fanless NUC running ROCK.

Roon ran pretty well on my Mac mini, although I’d very occasionally see a problem where I couldn’t connect to my core from the Roon app over my WiFi.

I saw a fanless NUC for sale here, and thought I’d see if it was better, and I haven’t seen any problems since,

It was probably some sort of issue with my network or something interacting on the mac (connecting to the headless Mac over VNC would get discovery working again). But ROCK is very simple and very stable.

So if that’s an option perhaps consider it.

(BTW thanks for all you do on the Facebook group)

Just bear in mind that I don’t believe there is official Roon support for windows 11 machines as of this time.
Many have it running successfully though.
