I saw Eversolo name on the list, but can’t find the Z10 on the “Enable” list for my Roon. Is this version not supported?
Trying to connect via USB from my Windows PC to the Z10.
Thanks,
George

The z10 is purely a dac, so it requires some sort of streamer. The streamer is what needs to be roon compatible, not the dac.
A direct USB connection from Windows to Eversolo is supported. See the Z10 product page and expand the “Audio Inputs and Outputs” section at the bottom of the page.
It would help troubleshoot if you clarified how Z10 is used with Roon.
Is this your locally connected setup?

\_ USB

\_ Eversolo Z10

Or do you have a networked setup similar to this?
Windows PC (Roon Core/Server)

Ethernet/Wifi

Windows PC (Roon Remote)

Yes it is supported, I own one and it works fine. You need to make sure that the z10 is on USB input. And that you’ve loaded the ASIO drivers from the Eversolo site.
Next, if you are running Roon / Roon Server on the same PC you should be done just activate the Audio Device. If you are running Roonserver on a different PC, then you need to be running Roon or RoonBridge on the PC that is attached to the DAC.
I have it connected directly.
Windows PC → USB → Eversolo Z10 → Audio Preamp → Speakers
I was able to get it to work, And it sounds good. It’s just, they had listings for all the other Eversolo DAC and streaming variations. Eversolo Z10 was missing. Maybe too new?
Thanks, G
Thanks. I missed this detail. Updated the driver. Sounds great! Thanks!
Thanks. FYI, I am using this Eversolo DAC-Z10 as a streamer by using its built in preamp and analog outs (XLR) to deliver the signal to my Classe preamp. The sound is incredibly clear, so it appears to be working!
That doesn’t make it a streamer. In your setup, Roon and the PC is functioning as the streamer. Streamers take the data stream and feed it TO a DAC, in this case the Z10. I am using the Z10 preamp function as well Analog out to my new X2 amp.
But, in my case, either the Node 2i (coax in), or a mini PC running Roonbridge (USB) feeds the Z10. I will soon be getting the T-8 and retiring the Node 2i, and only use the PC for HT computer use, since the T-8 also has NAA support.
True. The PC provides the streamer. Bad description. The T-8 looks great, but at another $1000+, I’m going to have to stick with the PC solution for a bit longer.
From what I have been reading, naa support on the t8 isn’t that stable. If I were you, I would get the matrix audio tt-1. It runs the endpoint natively on its linux os. About 600usd more than the t8, but it sounds so much better and will be very stable.
