@spockfish does Ropieee output 44.1/16 as 44.1/16 to the DAC as my DAC is showing 44.1/24 for 16bit source. Roon shows in signal path it’s 44.1/16. Just wondering if my DACs not reading it correctly or Alsa bit pads it t 44.1/24. The DAC im using is getting sight drops/stutter and trying to work out what’s causing it. Tried all variants of the buffer with no luck.

The 16bit source on my emo’s display is 24bit.

I would be interested to know this too as I’m using an older type of DAC which does not seem to work well with over 16bit data.
