DoP and Chord Mojo

Hi,

if I play a DSD over my Pi4 with RoPieee which is connect via USB to my Chord Mojo I receive only a loud white noise in spite the Mojo colored ball indicates the correct sample rate.

I knew that RoPieee should support DoP for the dacs which support it (as the Mojo does).

I have no issue if I try the same with Roon->iPhone->Mojo

What I wrong?

try and make sure that Roon is correctly recognising the Mojo in Settings/Audio
You may need to ‘tell’ it that it is a Mojo connected.
Then make sure you are using the correct version of DoP (I think there may be a 1.0 & a 1.1, so experiment)
I did have a Mojo in the past connected to my Pi4/RoPieeeXL & it played DSD perfectly (I upgraded to a Qutest…)

This is usually the case when volume control is being used. With DoP one usually has to send a bit-perfect stream to the DAC. You can look at your signal path to verify what’s going on.

Only now I had the time to try and It seems that now is working but I didn’t touch anything.

I don’t know what’s happened, anyway, the Mojo is “seen” correctly and the volume is fixed.

Can you show a screenshot of your Roon Signal path, when you’re playing DSD content?

And did you have the static sound with DSD64 or higher DSD rate music?

Hi,

maybe I was not clear (due to the fact that english isn’t my language) but I wrote that today I tried and DSD played without any issues.

I did not change nothing, I really don’t know why now it works and some days ago I had that loud white noise.

I’ll keep trying in these days to see if will happen again (the static noise).
