Description Of Issue
OK streaming Qobuz 16 bit 44K files, but connectivity or network problem notification when streaming 24 bit 96 and above. No problem running Qobuz hi rez steaming without Roon?? Whats causing this? can a Roon setting be changed to eliminate this issue?

You sure you dont mean 50Mbps? and if you did then 50Mbps is not that great, especially if you are also doing other things on that connection.

What does a www.speedtest.net reveal?

Do you encounter the same issue when using Qobuz app?

In his description he say “no problem running Qobuz hi res streaming”. That suggests he does not.

Hi @Ralph_Muller,

Can you try running the test found here on the Core machine and let us know the results?

Just to verify, is there any other networking gear involved? Any switches or adapters?

If you play to System Output of the Core machine does the same behavior occur?

SaysTest failed 150, but says download speed is only 3+mb/sec, and upload 360kb/sec
No other adapters or switches are involved, Will have to check on the system output on the core machine.

Hi @Ralph_Muller — Thanks for the info.

3mbps is definitely on the slower end, and Qobuz hires can be pretty demanding on the network, so that is likely why you’re seeing this here. Definitely let me know how things go with System Output.

Tried system output to computer no change, and today no faster than 3.6mb/s upload.
Probably to slow to keep up with Roon. Somewhat puzzling Qobuz has no problem with hi rez files but does not sound as good as Roon?? Please explain if you can?

Thanks for giving that a try, @Ralph_Muller.

~3mbps is certainly on the slower end for trying to stream content, especially Qobuz hires. Playing this type of content through Roon is definitely demanding on the network and it appears that the bandwidth available isn’t able to handle this type of content streaming.
