DSD DSF DST ? Please help to understand iso2dsd

Hello

I’m confused about this issue. please clear up…
I have a lot of CUE ISO - SACD files…

As far as I understand I have to convert to DSF files with iso2dsd…

What’s the best setting?

  • channel mode - dual (cause I only want stereo)
  • output mode - Sony DSF? is this right?
  • convert DST to DSD? Yes/No?

Thank you

You want DSF because it can hold metadata.
So the answer is Dual, Sony DSF and YES

output mode - Sony DSF? is this right? I use Sony DSF
convert DST to DSD? Yes/No? I leave it unticked

Cheers

Russ

thanks for the light in the dark

I wonder why DST wasn’t adopted in the first place, it is lossless DSF format, something like FLAC wrapped on WAV format.

As we go above DSD64 it makes sense to keep file as small as possible in a lossless container.

Guys sorry for coming so late to the party…

I´m using Iso2dsd PCv7 to convert Iso file to DSD (Dual, Sony DSD…) and it won´t start the convertion. Have anyone had the same issue?
Thanks
