That would not solve my problem of playback. The only Roon zone I have that does DSD is the 2 channel only OPPO 205 USB connection.

I connect with my 205 by LAN or HDMI to get multichannel and/or DSD.

I can confirm this but I can also confirm: PC with Roon --> HDMI --> UDP-205 --> HDMI out: 7.1 Supported (actually 5.1 in my case).
