Roon Server - Synology DS720+
PI4 i2s Allo Boss2 DAC
about 50,000 tracks
Volumio, moodeaudio, and Ropiee.
When I play DSD using Roon, there is no sound.
Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I’m not sure Roonbridge is doing that, all the format heavy lifting is done on the core AFAIK. You could try the advanced device settings which lets you set upper limits for sample rate and bit depth.

Is that Boss using the PCM5122 DAC? If so, it does not do DSD. See:
I had the same issue; I could convert DSD to PCM but couldn’t understand why Roon was showing DSD64 and 128 in green for the Allo BossDAC but wouldn’t play DoP.

boss2 supports DSD64.
Even if the Roon setting is set to 24bit, it transmits DSD in 32bit.
