Describe the issue

Hi, I have a roon nucleus connected via USB cable to a Mcintosh MDA200 DAC. Is it possible to play DSD512 files through these USB ports (ssd)? I have a shunyata gamma cable. If the file is DSD512 I get a DSD256 reproduction no the Macintosh. No native DSD option on roon software...only available: DSD to PCM, DoP and Dcs type...thank you very much.
Best regards, João Carmo

Assumes you will be connecting it to a Windows PC and running the ASIO drivers you can download from mcIntosh. No mention of working with Linux natively, which the default is DoP. I would ask McIntosh tech support if the device works connected directly to a Linux PC to provide native DSD.

If you have to use Windows then the best option, imho, is to get a cheap Windows prebuilt for mid $150 range, load RoonBridge and the McIntosh ASIO drivers. Ethernet to the Windows PC, USB out to the McIntosh.

Hello, in case no Windows Roon core is used.
There is no native DSD support under Linux for the DA2 module.
DoP < 256

Doesn’t have to be the core. You can use a Windows PC as an endpoint with RoonBridge, as I mentioned.
