Albums are not shown as part of in My Library The albums 'Aja' & ''Can't Buy' a Thrill' are part of My Library in DSF format.. Unlike other Steely Dan albums, they are not shown as making part of My Library if I look at the Discography. Only Qobuz versions are presented. If however, if I select the Library symbol at the top, the 2 missing albums do show up.
Have you rebooted your server recently? This happened to me twice yesterday after adding a couple albums, some of my existing versions quit showing under the album. A reboot fixed it.
A very annoying bug that I hope Roon will address some day.
But, why does it appears correct in both Overview, or Discography-Library view, and not in Discography (general) view before re-identification?
This is quite annoying. In this case, I know the artis quite well and know exactly what I have in My Library. Not always the case, e.g. I have quite some albums of Bob Dylan & Bruce Springsteen in My Library, but also quite a lot that I don’t have.
I use the Discography (general) page a lot, without switching to the ‘In My Library’ view.
If it impossible to get the information aligend , better remove the ‘In Library’ symbol all together in Discography (general) view then. It’s getting quite confusing.
For now, issue is solved. Thanks for the follow-up and support.
As I mentioned Bruce Springsteen in my previous response, I just did check his discography.
3 (out of 14) albums that are in My Library did not show the in-library symbol in the Discography general view.
(Trying to) re-identifying the albums unfortunately does not help either.
One last test I have performed is completely removing the Bruce Springsteen albums from My Library (i.e. removing from my Roon server and cleaning the library).
After recopying the tracks to my server and re-importing, the result is unfortunately the same.
Logging out and back in again at Qobuz does not help either.
Whatever I try, in the Discography general view, Roon is always looking at the Qobuz version - which even is not in My Library (although Roon knows a local copy is in My Library).
Hi @Dirk_De_Taey,
Thanks for doing the additional testing. Since none of it improved the situation we’re going to need to bring this case to our development team. Once they take a look we should be able to provide you with next steps.
Hi @Dirk_De_Taey,
The developers believe a metadata mismatch may be going on here. Can you share a few of the affected tracks here? That will help us locate where the mismatch happens.
I have uploaded 3 albums of Bruce Springsteen, which have the same issue.
And what is very particular with these albums is:
these are all 3 Qobuz downloads, still availble at Qonuz.
the product id and the label , shown in the Credits, are the same for both the Qobuz version (not in My Library) and the local copy (Qobuz download) in My Library.
This of course to be expected because of 1)
Still, when trying manually to (re-)identify the albums, I cannot select the identical album as Roon does for the Qobuz album (when I am adding that to My Library for a test)
Hust for info, the albums are:
The Rising, The Wild, the Innocent & The E Street Shuffle, Darkness On the Edge of Town
But I want to see them in the whole Discography, otherwise I have to search switching between the 2 views all the time.
It’s fine for an artisr with let’s say 8 albums, of which I have 3 in My Library.
But the ‘older’ artists are having so many albums in Qobuz (lots of them rubbish)
e.g. Bruce Springsteen 65 albums in total, Bob Dylan 92, Neil Young 94, …
that it becomes difficult to find what you want.
And as it is working for most albums, it should work for all albums, should it not?
Yes, those 2 have been fixed by re-identification at my side as well.
But unfortunately, the topic title has proven to be wrong (incomplete) as the issue is not only with .dsf files.
