Description of Issue

DSP doesn’t seem to apply or do anything. Is this a bug, or what am I missing? Lossless playback works fine. Thanks.

I guess I have to answer your question with a question first.
What are you trying to achieve with DSP?
Upsampling or?

I’m testing DSP for crossfeed and/or EQ for headphones. I would like to use DSP for any of the normal use cases. Neither the crossfeed nor parametric EQ above are doing anything. It should be showing “Enhanced” vs “Lossless” with the settings selected above, shouldn’t it?

So you are using the iPad as the endpoint to feed the Topping?
How are you connected to it?

That’s correct. I’m connected via USB-C from the iPad to the Topping. The iPad is connected over wifi. Lossless playback works fine.

It was a bug. I changed to DSP volume control. This worked and got me an “Enhanced” signal path. That seems to have unlocked something. Now DSP works as expected no matter what volume mode I have selected (fixed / device / DSP).
