Dual Xeon server?

For Roonserver on headless Linux box, in terms of CPU does one go for more cores or higher clock speeds?

I have the opportunity to rebuild my server shortly and was wondering whether to invest in a dual Xeon setup?

Or is that overkill?

I’ll stick with the i5 I have currently I think
