Dumb Question #1 - Where do I install Roon Bridge?

Hi, I’ve read all the roon support info I can find on Roon Bridge. None of it explicitly says where it should be installed. Should it be installed on;

  1. the computer that has the roon output device?
  2. the computer that has the roon server installed?
  3. both the server and output computers"?

Thanks

The computer device that is connected to your DAC.

Ok, thank you. That is what I suspected but is not explicitly stated anywhere!

And so far, its not working for me :frowning:

You install it on a computer that has neither Roon Server nor a full Roon client. You might also need to fiddle with the firewall to give it full access to the internal network. After that the computer with Bridge would be seen as yet another Roon Ready endpoint.

Checked the firewall and it is turned off on all the machines. Still cannot see any of the output devices :frowning:

That’s odd, might want to post this in the Support section with more details of your setup and network,

I’ve already got one in for support because I can’t see any outputs on any machine running roon apart from the one running the server. I suspect that the issues are linked so will wait for the problems with standard roon to get fixed and then see if this one is still here.

Good luck. This does seem to be related, so hope it will get sorted out there.
