Duplicate Album Additions and Queue Reordering Post-Update (ref#VAQ57U)

Describe the issue

Today was the first time since the latest update I wanted to hear music; I had added a few albums since then, though.
I noticed first that albums I added after the upgrade had each song added twice.
I thought ‘well, let’s see if restarting the server fixes it’, and when it came back I noticed that my hundreds-of-songs queue had gone through the blender - the order now is completely different.
I’m not sure if that is tied to the server restart, I didn’t check the queue before restarting.

Describe your network setup

Irrelevant here, but internet comes in through fiber, the relevant parts of the network (Rock, Trinnov Amethyst) are connected through Ethernet.

Taking a closer look, it rather seems that duplicates of songs in the queue got randomly inserted elsewhere in the queue; what I noticed first (an two albums getting all songs added twice) may be a special case of it.
Possibly a dup of ’ [[Ticket in] B1478 (and before) Queue gets messed up on restart, old history items get interleaved that were NOT in queue]'?

Hey @Rolf_S,

Thanks for writing in!

We believe you are correct in your findings - luckily, we have a ticket as well as a fix in the pipeline that should solve the above issues for you. :raised_hands:

We don’t have any additional next steps or additional information needed at this time, the fix should be released in the next Roon update or two - you can review what’s included with each Roon update over in our Software Release Notes category on community.

Thank you for your patience in the meantime!
