Describe the issue

I have lots on duplicates in "My albums" since few days. But only in French language ! Roon reports "5711 sur 1630 albums" (!!) in French, and shows a lot of duplicates, but all is right if I switch Roon remote in English. This bug is for all remotes I have : Windows, Android and IOS.

Describe your network setup

ROCK => Wifi => Ropieee => DAC. Playback is perfect

Rebooting ROCK cured the problem. But maybe it will be back ?

It will. It’s a known issue.

Hi @Jean_Christophe_BENO,

Thank you for your post. Can you please upload a copy of your Roon database for our team to take a closer look?

At your convenience, please navigate to your ROCK’s Database Location in a File Explorer and compress the RoonServer folder (.zip). Please upload it here to our database uploader: Database Uploader

We’ll watch for your response in case you have questions. Thank you!

Zipping the RoonServer directory takes ages, even on powerful PC, because of mandatory network access, and complex directory structure. You should give an option, on ROCK html interface, to pack and send the database, directly and locally from the server. I gave up.

But maybe I can pack a backup of database ? This will more quick, as the backup is on my PC. Tell me if I can

Hi @Jean_Christophe_BENO,
A backup would work just fine as long as it was made while this duplicate album problem was happening. Let us know when you’ve uploaded the backup!

As I said, rebooting ROCK cured the problem. So, even if I have the same database when the problem occured (rebooting does not change database, isnt it ?), the problem is not here anymore. Nevertheless, I’ll upload my latest backup.

Hi @Jean_Christophe_BENO,
Thanks for uploading the database. Since your issue has been resolved I’ll set this thread to close.

But maybe it may returns ? Can we say a bug which resolves when rebooting is “solved” ? It is minor, but still a bug.

You would be surprised at how often a reboot solves everything and it stays fixed. If it does happen again you can open another thread mentioning this one and we’ll reopen the thread and continue troubleshooting.
