Duplicate playlists appear in Roon when imported from Audirvana (ref#82JPD4)

When importing Playlists from Audirvana they show up in Roon twice (Duplicate). Deleting one of them in Roon deletes both? I am using Audirvana export Playlist into my music folder mapped to ROON. Any suggestions on how to stop duplicate or how to delete duplicate in Roon without deleting both?

Can you confirm how you are importing the playlists into Roon? Are you generating an XML or what exactly is being sent into Roon? If you try to edit the playlists in Roon, do they show the same path?

Hi, I originally created the playlists in “Audirvana”. I select the playlist in “Audirvana” then I select “export playlist” from the file dropdown menu. it shows up as a “.m3u” file in my music folder and also appears in the Roon side bar panel twice, as shown in the screenshot I previously sent. I also notice prior to exporting there is an option to select “Relative File Path” should I select this?

When you say “edit” do you mean add a track or something like that? It appears it is the same file path. Hope that helps?

Do you happen to know if Audirvana is exporting from a relative file path or the absolute file path? Ultimately, you’ll want to match whatever Audivana is doing in this situation.

Do you have multiple storage folders in Roon holding the same content? Roon doesn’t modify external playlists but instead imports and recreates them. If a playlist is stored in multiple locations (e.g., Audirvana and the local drive), Roon could be picking up both versions.

You can also open the playlist file (.m3u) in a text editor to check the format and compare paths.
