Duplicated albums

Hi guys, just recognized there are some duplicated albums in the roon library. Checked already the FAQs and various internet topics regarding this issue… seems it continues for some > 12 months. this what I did today: I copied a new album into the roon-managed location on my synology NAS. Then I deleted it as there was a wrong song inside the album. Then I re-copied the right album again into the roon-managed music folder… starting from here i got 4 albums… can not delete them… library clean up does not work… any ideas? thanks in advance. Regards, Dariusz NB: no I-tunes, no duplicated folder indexing or so… just one link to a roon-manged music folder.

That may be the issue, it’s a ‘managed’ folder. You probably should have a ‘Watched Folder’.
Roon does nothing to watched folders unless you delete files.

Hi,

It’s probably worth stopping and re-starting the Roon Core just so you know you have a clean starting position.
Then run the library cleanup again.

If that does not help then …

In Roon if you select (long press / right click) each of the problematic album tracks in turn, and view the file information … it will give you a link to where Roon believes the file is stored on the file system. There’s less surprises that way.

Then in a file browser go to that location and check if the file is there or not.

If that still does not work, can you give more specific details of the problem and some screen shots.

BTW I don’t recommend using Roon Organised folders, I prefer to used the watched folder and then I control where the files I stored.
