Early Access : Roon 2.65 Build 1647 : RAM usage feedback

I have added some analysis of Log files following the update from B1645 to B1647 here

and here EarlyAccess: Roon 2.65 Build 1645 : RAM usage feedback - #22 by simon_pepper

This plot physical memory usage, importantly during the ‘Scheduled Activity’ period.
Also splits physical memory usage into managed and unmanaged.

Library is 106,867 tracks, 7924 albums running ROCK on a NUC7i7DNK with 16GB RAM and 250GB NVMe SSD.

Let me know if this is useful.

Home to find Roon sitting at 5.6gb of memory in use. Minimal Arc use today due to work. Let’s see what happens over the next 24 hours

From last 48 hours or so

Was running at 10GB memory usage, during yesterday day-time/evening - playback had no effect
Last night’s ‘Scheduled Activity’ peaked at around 14GB RAM usage and then dropped to about 11GB.

Is this as expected with B1647?

FWIW (running on a Debian LXC on Proxmox) this is my experience over last month and week. Just prior to 1647 it was going up higher than normal range, and has gone down and is going back up to “normal range”. Happy to share logs or whatever if useful. No hiccoughs or anything but not noticeably improved either - 118k tracks, mix of local and streaming.

Last 48 hours of Logs analysed for physical Memory usage

During last night’s scheduled activity period, peak usage went from circa 11GB to circa 15GB, which has dropped back to a stable 13GB.

There was also a change between managed and unmanaged usage, during this last Scheduled Activity period

Just to complete on the observations of B1647

This is log analysis for the last 24 hours or so

So previous ‘Schedule Activity’ was running in the 12GB - 15GB usage and then stable during the day at 12Gb - 13GB level.

Application of B1648 reduced this to 4GB, and then the ‘Scheduled Activity’ saw much less of a memory usage, up to 5GB - 6GB, and then stable into this morning.
There was new additions to my Library to be scanned and indexed.

This chart also shows some significant improvement in Memory management
