Hey Everyone,
We have another small but meaningful update for you today.
We’ve continued working through sources of unnecessary memory usage in RoonServer, and this build ships two more targeted improvements. These reduce how much memory Roon consumes during normal operation, and ease pressure on the garbage collector, which can cause brief slowdowns when it kicks in.
We know some of you are still seeing memory grow steadily and having to reboot RoonServer to bring it back down. That’s a separate issue we’re actively investigating - these fixes don’t fully address it, and we want to be upfront about that. We’re continuing to dig in.
On the ARC side, we’ve addressed a regression - if you navigate to an Album or Artist and open the Info tab, you may have noticed the loading spinner would keep spinning even after the page content had fully loaded. That’s now fixed.
As always, your feedback is invaluable - keep it coming.
