Editing Genre hierachy?

How can I edit the Genre hierachy easily?

By default there is Genre Pop/Rock that has several subgenres. One is Prog-rock. Also other Progressive rock subgenres are listed as subgenres of Pop/Rock: Canterbury scene and Neo-Prog for instance.

Prog-Rock has only one subgenre: Avant-Prog.

On top level of the hierachy there is also genre Progrerssive rock. It has no subgenres.

I would like to add subgenres to Progressive rock. Something like this:

Canterbury Scene, Crossover Prog, Eclectic Prog, Heavy Prog, Indo-Prog/Raga Rock, Jazz Rock/Fusion, Krautrock, Neo-Prog, Post Rock, Prog Folk, Progressive Electronic, Progressive Metal, Psychedelic/Space Rock, RIO/Avant-Prog, Symphonic Prog, Tech/Extreme Prog, Zeuhl, Prog Related, Proto-Prog, Avant-Prog

tyhank you

This is telling me that you have set Settings > Library > Import Settings > Use Genres Extracted from File Tags set to Yes and, in your description above, you most likely have Use Genres from Roon’s Metadata Database also set to Yes.

Could you please confirm this?

If the above is true, we first should to go into Settings > Library > Genre Mapping to clean up your Progressive Rock Genres.
