Error Code 526 on ARC connectivity after Roon update on MacOS (ref#GTDGMV)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· Can’t reach my Server, remotes or ARC

Can’t connect to my Server, remotes or ARC

· Other ARC issues

Tell us what's going on

· Just updated to the latest Roon remote and server, running on MacOS. Upon checking ARC connectivity, I got an error message, code 526. I double-checked my router, which is set up correctly and shows Roon autoport mapping with the correct internal port number. Tried turning UPnP on and off, to no avail.

Tell us about your home network

· TP link Archer A7, no VPN. Roon server installed on MacBook Pro, running the latest OS.

It’s a known issue.

It appears to be an issue with the connectivity test itself and, at least for many people, does not actually affect ARC operation.

Hello @Jerome_Camal

Just to double-check: is ARC actually working for you (e.g., can you play music successfully over a cellular connection), or are you currently unable to use the app remotely at all?

If it is playing fine, you can safely ignore the “Not Ready” / Error 526 message for now—it is a known display glitch we are working on fixing.

Hi @Jerome_Camal,

Just to reiterate, this diagnostic warning resulted from an upstream Roon cloud services issue and it should not have actually affected ARC’s ability to connect via the open port. You should see a normal “Ready” status in Roon Settings by now if you’d previously configured port forwarding. Let us know if you’re actually unable to connect to ARC via cellular data and we’ll pick up the case; otherwise, we’ll let this auto-close after a few days. Thank you!

Hello all. Thank you for your responses. Yes, Roon ARC seems to be working on my phone using cellular. I’ll ignore the error message for now.
