Error during backup process

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)
Roon 1.7 (buid 710) on UBUNTU LTS 18.04.5

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

Description Of Issue
It has been a few days since I’ve been unable to backup the DB. The process fails during the transfer.

I tried both using an external SD card connected via US (system used for more than a year to backup the DB), and trying to save it on one of the internal HDs where I have the music.

unfortunately i had problems with many other parts of ubuntu which forced me to do a general system reset. If after re-installed Roon the problem occurs again, i’ll send the logs

Just an update. I reinstalled ubuntu (i took the opportunity to upgrade to the desktop version 20.04.1 LTS) and then Roon (having some weeks old backups, i decided that before deleting i would copy the “database” directory which i would then add to the new roon installation). Now it works perfectly, even the backup function.
I’m left with the doubt of the error. The onlychanges made in recent weeks have been the update of Roon and the transition from an FTTC network to an FTTH network

Thanks for the update here, it sounds like the Ubuntu reinstall helped here!

I suspect that the Ubuntu reinstall resolved some permission or copy errors, in any case do let us know if you experience any further difficulties and we can certainly assist if so!
