Can't load headphone database in ARC's new feature OPRA headphone preset. In Windows client it's OK. Error message in my Android phone is "Failed to load Roon Open Headphones Database". Internet connection is up. Maybe you could advise me alternative database address?
There’s not an alternative database URL. If you’re relying on a VPN to reach Roon services from your server, you’ll need to try changing the assigned DNS settings. The error in diagnostics indicates that the URL can’t be resolved properly by the phone’s network service provider, possibly due to geographic restriction.
I think that VPN is not the case.
Usually I don’t use VPN. I tried all four configurations: No VPN; VPN Server; VPN Arc; Both VPN. For these configurations both type of connections: WiFi from my home network; Cellular. In some configurations to reach Roon Server I used TailScale.
Roon Server was reachable in all cases. But I still can’t reach headphone database!
I also tried to set up Headphone EQ from Roon Remote for Android for one of my zone. I can enable/disable this filter from Android Remote, but I still can’t set it up or change Headphone type. And I can set it up from Remote for Windows.
Maybe the reason is that my smartphone is Huawei? It doesn’t have Google Services, and there’ no Roon software in AppGallery. I installed Roon Arc and Remote from APKPure, and I have the latest versions of both applications.
And maybe I could reach Roon Headphones Database if I type it’s URL in the proper field as alternative URL?
