Description Of Issue

tried installing and got this message: Fatal Error: Could not compile vertexbasic shader: ERROR: 1:6: ‘lowp’ : syntax error parse error

Hi @Brendon_Greenaway,

That’s a Graphics Driver Error, which is typically related to a OpenGL 3.0 support issue.

What’s the specification on the PC that you are attempting to run Roon on?
Importantly include details on both the CPU and the GPU that is install.

Depending on the specification it’s possible that installing the latest drivers from the GPU manufacturer’s (not from Windows) site might resolve this, also it worth tring the 32 bit version of Roon (assuming your not running that already).

Thanks for your reply. Here are the specifications you asked for:

GPU: Intel® HD Graphics Family

CPU: Processor: Intel ® Core ™ i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz
Installed Memory (RAM) 6.00 GB
System Type 64-bit Operating System

I updated the driver and was able to successfully install Roon and stream to my receiver, thank you!

Now I just need to figure how to play MQA properly. It seems to convert MQA back to 44.1, and I don’t think that is right.

Excellent news.

Create a new post for that and include a image of Roon’s Signal path and the device settings pages.
