Error retrieving account information [Solved]

Can’t see my account info in the Mac client:

First symptom was that I could not log into my Tidal account, but I suspect these things are connected?

Mac client, v 1.2 build 142
Linux server, v 1.2 build 142, 64 bit

Have you tried to reboot the Roon Core ?

I have the same account error, and the same Tidal login error.
I have tried rebooting the PC several times.
My internet connection is working fine.

Roon 1.2 build 147 stable 64 bit

@Deon_Greeff ---- I would like to get a copy of your logs over to our developers and will be contacting you via PM shortly with instructions on how can upload them to our servers. Thanks!

@Deon_Greeff ---- Just wanted to follow up with you and check in on obtaining logs. Thanks!

Hi Eric, yes I sent them some days ago.

OK, I have sent you the log files as instructed below.
Name is DeonGreeffLogs.zip

Running on fairly high performance SilentPC. Plenty of HDD space and memory.

@Deon_Greeff ---- Thank you for confirming, very appreciated. I took a ticket out this morning when I saw you had responded and bumped the priority up so our developers would have a look at you logs right away.

Based on the log analysis we are seeing a fair amount of network errors. Can you please confirm if there is any other applications or programs running in the background of your core machine? Things like antivirus programs, active firewalls (including the ones built into the OS), etc. Anything of that nature. Thanks!

-Eric

Hi Eric,
The only things I can find that access the network are:

  • McAfee LiveSafe
  • Google (google drive etc.)
  • Skype
All the above have been installed on my PC for more than a year and have worked fine with Roon.
Streaming video works fine too, and I can’t see any network issues.
    Thanks
    Deon

@Deon_Greeff ------ Thank you for your feedback, your input is greatly appreciated. I would like to get a better understanding of your setup and would also like you to run a small test for me. Please see below. Thanks!

  1. Can you please describe, in detail, your current setup. OS? Gear? Typology?

  2. I see that McAfee LiveSafe is an antivirus software. Can you please disable this software and see if you still encounter the same issue?

OK, got it working now.
It seems that it was the McAfee firewall. It already had Roon listed as Allowed but I set it again, rebooted, and now everything works fine. Strange.
Thanks for the tip.

@Deon_Greeff ---- Glad to hear that did the trick  Happy listening!
