Hi,
Sorry for the trouble, and I understand the frustration of not even being able to start your trial. In nearly every case, a login loop isn’t an account problem, it’s something blocking the connection to our authentication servers, usually DNS or router-level filtering. Please try these steps in order, stopping as soon as login works:
Verify the account in a browser. Go to account.roonlabs.com and sign in with the same credentials. If that works, your account is fine and the issue is network-related.
Test on your phone’s hotspot. Temporarily connect the device running Roon Server to your 4G/5G hotspot and try logging in again. This is the key test: if it works, the problem is in the TIM HUB Pro and we can focus there.
On the TIM HUB Pro: turn off “Navigazione Sicura”, parental controls, or any content filtering, then set DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 instead of TIM’s. Reboot the router and try again.
Firewall and antivirus. On the machine running Roon Server, allow Roon, RoonAppliance, and RAATServer through the firewall; as a quick test, temporarily disable any third-party antivirus.
System date and time. If these are wrong, authentication fails in a loop. Enable automatic time sync.
VPN, Pi-hole, or DNS blockers: disable them for the duration of the test.
If the problem persists after these steps, send me: your operating system and Roon version, which device is running Roon Server, and a screenshot or short video of the loop. With that we can dig in quickly.
Thank you for providing the screenshots. The login loop you are experiencing is caused by the authentication process taking place inside the app’s embedded web view (in-app browser). Sometimes, this embedded view fails to process cookies correctly or blocks the popup required to redirect you back to the Roon app.
To bypass this issue, we need to force the login to happen in a standard standalone browser. Please follow these steps:
Open the Roon app and proceed until you reach the login page (“Bentornati! Scegliere un account”).
Tap the three dots (menu icon) located in the top right corner of the screen.
Select “Open in Chrome” (or open in your device’s default external browser).
Complete your login credentials directly within Chrome.
Authenticating in the external browser should properly process the cookies and trigger the correct redirect back into the Roon app, completing your setup.
Let me know if this allows you to log in successfully.
