You know that feeling when two bits of kit or more play just right with each other? When the weaknesses of one thing can cancel out the weakness of the other and the results are sublime? Sometimes choosing partnerships can be more important than choosing the component parts. I thought we could share our thoughts on this to help each other choose the right combinations and possibly avoid mistakes, especially as alot of us have to buy without listening first due to geographical or physical limitations.

Hifiman HE600 Headphones with K13 R2R Fiio DAC/AMP(in NOS mode) - the foward and very open sounding HE600 sounds really sublime with the K13, which drives them with good authority and control, and has great layering and separation which is fully exploited by the HE600. Sometimes I’m getting a quite surreal experience, with a well recorded and airy track it’s pretty mind-blowing and highly addictive.
