Glad to see some comparisons show up for the DMP-A6. I like the Volumio very much but I think that I would picked the DMP over it.
If I understand correctly, next week a comparison will be made between the DMP and the DMP Master Edition. I am very curious of what they think if there really is a audio difference and also if it is worth the price difference.

If they are using the inbuilt DAC which they have in this test then likely will be a difference as its output stage uses different op amps, clock might make a difference to but I imagine it’s closer than many think and it’s all down to what each user prefers. I think if used digitally to same external dac I doubt there would be much in it for any of them using internal DACs they will as it’s the implementation that counts not the chip on its own.

What they should do is then compare them both using digital out to same DAC and see if they can tell then.
I don’t know how it compares to other similar devices (don’t care that much), but the M.E. sounds excellent and looks even better

It’s not that bad a setup
For those looking for the Master Edition, it is available from Audiophonics in France. I placed my order after midnight and have already received confirmation of its tracking and delivery for Tuesday. BTW the price including shipping to USA is $1238 which is slightly cheaper than what I could find locally,
There will likely be import duties though?
I have ordered other items from them before with no additional charges. Also just got an update from UPS indicating that it is now scheduled for delivery on Monday. Also on the link listed there is a reference to no additional charges and something to the effect with US Customs and European Electronics.
