The most comprehensive T10 review to date (T8 included).

Okay so I read the review and I was overwhelmed by the amount of audiophile nonsense that the reviewer believes. Here is just one example:
The T10 now has a 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet connection whereas the T8 “only” had a 1.0 Gb/s Ethernet connection. So wow, the T10 must therefore be so much better. Complete and utter nonsense and clearly shows that the author has no idea of anything that he is writing about. These devices are music streamers and when streaming music there is absolutely NO sonic difference between a 1.0 Gb/s and a 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet connection since either speed is way more than what is needed to stream MUSIC, even if like a good card carrying audiophile, you are streaming WAV, rather than FLAC, files - even super high resolution WAV files..
And here’s another bonus audiophile misconception: the T10’s 64-bit octa-core processor, 8 GB of DDR5 memory instead of the T8’s 4 GB of DDR4 has absolutely nothing with the streaming section of the T10 and only affects the non-streaming part of the unit. So navigating the menus will be snappier but the audio is not affected.
To EverSolo’s credit they sure know what audiophile catnip to add to their products and to how to keep reviewers like Mr. Tudor spewing worthless praise.
A quick aside: what would audio components sound like if the designers disregarded audio and electrical engineering science in the same way that audiophiles disregard the science?

My previous streamer had only 100Mb Ethernet and worked flawlessly even with hi res material. I did not buy either Eversolo streamer opting for another brand btw.
With regard to streaming this is true. 2.5 is overkill.
The 2.5 Gig Ethernet is logical for transferring files to the onboard storage of 16TB. For my T8 I use the onboard storage as one of my Music Backups. This is twofer for me because I have more than 1 backup for my music. The 2.5 data transfer speeds would help out very nice on the T10. I am ripping on my main device, then copying at 2.5 speeds to my Roon Server, then copying at 2.5 speeds to a backup device and then copying to the T8 device which if it would be a T10, it would be at 2.5 also.
As for as a faster CPU and memory this would help with data transfer more so than navigation and nothing to do with streaming.
In the last couple of years, 2.5Gb Network adapters and switches have become very reasonable in price and whenever I replace anything Ethernet related I try for 2.5gb first since it is backward compatible with GigaBit speeds as so one day to achieve a 2.5 network throughout.
That is just one of the upgrades. The improved onboard oven controlled clock is a plus and also the ability to add an external clock is a bigger plus.
The bigger display is always a plus for any device but I like the larger device dimensions being the same size as the Eversolo Z10 Dac which looks better when it is a stacked setup. I am going to replace my T8 for this very reason. To sit on top of my Z10 Dac. I have my gear in a rack and for as much I have invested, I want it to look like it belongs rather a afterthought. That’s just me.

Very good points. For me, I opted for SOtM (which will also accept an external clock) since I wouldn’t use most of the features of a T8 or T10 - I just use Roon so the apps would go unused as would the display. I agree that the looks of a stack of equipment matter as well and thats why my own gear is closely matched cosmetically as well as sonically.

Asking because I’m also interested in the T10.
In the eversolo forum some people are telling about glitches with higher bitrates (especially using the T10 as NAA client).
Is this also an issue in using only RAAT and for e.g. DSD512?
