I use my iMac as Roon server to stream on a Roon ready device (Bluesound node) using RAAT. When I do a FaceTime call from my iMac, Roon pauses the music (not muting, pausing).

This means that I cannot at the same time do FaceTime calls from my iMac and stream music somewhere else.

Any suggestions, maybe I missed some Roon or FaceTime preference?

P.S.: not interested in solutions that entail buying new gear.

Thanks!

Have you tried to use the roon server installation?

Thanks: that solved! Key takeaway: server functionality embedded in Roon app is not exactly behaving the same as dedicated server app. Better to decouple and use server app for server functionality.
