Describe the issue

I have an issue installing the Rock software in a Intel NUC7I5BNH.

I have the message "Failed to partition disk".
A few years ago I had installed Rock on this hardware.

I have downloaded the last version of the software from the official ROON page and I have used balenaEtcher and Rufus to create the image in the pendrive. Also I have done the setup of the bios before to try to start the installation.

The NUC works fine with Windows 10.

Hello @Juan_Jose_Lope_Graci ,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your message.

Since Windows 10 was previously installed on this NUC, it is possible that something is still locking the previous partition from being formatted due to the old Windows file system. Can you please try to format the drive, either using the Windows installer USB (but do not install Windows) or a Linux Live USB. If you use the Windows USB installer, try to perform a Delete action to ensure that there are no other partitions:

I believe you can also use Rufus to format our a key.

I have deleted all partitions of the drive using one linux installed in one pendrive. According to the program Gparted I don’t have any partition in the drive.

I have created the Rock image in the pendrive with Etcher and I have done also with Rufus with the same result.

This is the drive and the memory installed in the NUC.

The issue is fixed. I have deleted all the partitions of the hard disk with a low level format program.

There is one option to only delete the partitions without run the low level format. After that I don’t have the error and I have been able to instal Rock in the NUC.
Please close the incident.
Thank you
