Describe the issue

Dear Sir or Madam,

Since the last upgrade to my ROCK server its fan speed has significantly increased and is continiously running at high speeds, while obviously generating more noise as well.
Ever since I installed it back in July 2023 it has been as quiet as a mouse and happily performing its tasks but since a week or two, after installing the latest upgrade, its fan is constantly running at high speeds, even after forced reboots.
Obviously when the server needs to process database updates or is maybe servicing many endpoints at the same time, this could be a reason for this behaviour but most of the time it does not have to stream at all.

The server is installed in an airconditioned room, averaging 21 deg Celsius.

Has anything changed in the latest release that handles system resources differently? Anything else I should be considering?

For reference please find below my setup.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

Olivier Beets

Hi @ollieproductions,

Thank you for the report. The team is interested in investigating system hardware diagnostics and Roon logs.

Can you please provide an approximate timestamp of the last time you encountered unusual activity?

Do you have any symptoms within Roon, like slow page loading, playback interruptions, or loss of server connection? Any error messages?
