A work colleague of mine (who has sadly just left the UK to return to the US) learned to play guitar during lockdown. His wife loves to sing and together they wrote a song called “COVID Blues”. Unfortunately it probably won’t be available via Tidal/Qobuz anytime soon.

Three of my friends and I have a sort of a society… we started it in the immediate aftermath of an amazing gig at South Park in Oxford, UK, 7th July 2001. If you know you know, you know.
We call it the Music Appreciation Society and we get together two or three times a year and play records, listen to new stuff and old and generally enjoy each other’s company.
Of course during lockdown these events moved over to Zoom just like everything else! And one of the rounds during the first pandemic MAS of 2020 was ‘the lockdown/end of the world song’ of your choice. This was mine…
