All the 8GB and newer 4GB RPi4 model Bs allow booting from USB out of the box. Would make installing/reinstalling RoPieee that much easier if RoPieee supported this as well.

I tried a while ago (two/three years ago) but I didn’t find any advantage: you need to flash the image anyway so no difference
There certainly is a difference when you have to disassemble a case in order to get to the SD card. Not to mention an SSD drive or even thumb drive is better suited for an OS install than an SD card.
