Roon’s Qobuz integration is excellent for discovery and playback, but the lack of bi-directional playlist support is a major functional gap (presumably, this would be true for Tidal as well)
Today, Qobuz playlists in Roon are effectively read-only. Any real playlist curation requires switching back to the Qobuz app, which breaks Roon’s promise of being a unified control surface for local and streaming libraries.
This is not a limitation of Qobuz’s API. Other platforms (e.g., WiiM) already support full write access:
Create and edit Qobuz playlists
Sync changes back to Qobuz
Treat playlists as first-class objects
Request:
Please add full Qobuz API write integration in Roon:
Create / rename / delete Qobuz playlists
Add / remove / reorder tracks
Bi-directional sync with Qobuz
This would remove one of the last major workflow reasons to leave Roon’s UI and would significantly strengthen Roon as a true library manager.
