Feature request - multi track edit / Gracenote option /

  • Editing playlists, track lists, general data

    • You gotta make it easier to edit multiple items
      • dragging tracks up or down in playlist
        • you can already select multiple tracks. Why can you then not drag all of those up or down? If you want to move an album up or down you currently have to do it one track at a time - what the heck!
  • settings option to use Gracenote standard for ALL tracks. Gracenote has the rule: first letter of each track is a capital. it is what it is - at least it is a standard. but if you want to use said standard, each track must be edited manually. the idea with all these requests is to not bog down the user for hours. this stuff should be super fast

Are you refering to titles from streaming services or your library?

If it is the latter, those who spend many hours curating their collection do not want Roon changing titles or formatting them any way – Roon does not, and should not edit media files.

Renaming titles from streaming services is unlikely to be a practical option, and would have a massive overhead.

I am not sure which part of my request you are inquiring about. but yeah, I get it - I’ve spent as many hours (or more) than the average user updating my library. YES, it’s my personal library. I do not really want to rename every single title I add manually. the idea I have is to have a setting that could be toggled off or on to use Gracenote standard (again, if that is what you are referring to). if off, it should not affect anyone else’s library.
