It would be useful if the infrared remote control had an extra function to be able to select the zone it is controlling.
At present, as far as I’m aware. To control 3 zones purely from an infrared remote, I would need 3 RPis. With each RPi set to a specific zone. If an infrared command could be allocated to each zone to select it, you could change zones from one RPi.
