Feature request: Show active MUSE filter beside Device icon

Sure, this isn’t the first request into this direction, but I feel it’s time to ask again:

It would be extremely helpful to see, wich MUSE-Filter is currently active. Here is an example, why:

I am using a streaming bridge plus a DAC/preamp in a desktop configuration with speakers. As for the speakers, I have to compensate for a resonance, that comes from the desktop surface. The DAC is also a headphone amplifier. Because Roon cannot see the DAC or when a headphone is being connected to the DAC, I have to manually switch off the desktop curve and eventually want to activate a headphone EQ. There is no way to automatically switch to the right EQ.

A solution would be a “MUSE Active” logo/button beside the device icon. Individually saved user presets like my “Desktop curve” and “Headphone curve” should be accessible/switchable over this MUSE-Button. For example, like in this “quick and dirty” montage:

In this example, the eversolo T8 Streaming Bridge is the roon ready streamer, but the eversolo Z10 is used as a DAC/Pre/headphone amp. Roon cannot see the Z10.

As for the MUSE filters: Currently, you can’t even see, if and wich filter is active in the normal view. You ether have to click the signal path button, or go all the way to the MUSE settings. A simple switching solution between the most used filters would be great. No, not just great, but essential!

You should post this in Feedback > Feature Suggestions and then vote for it.

Roon staff monitor that sub-category and are more likely to take on board suggestions made there (although there are no guarantees).

Thanks Wade.

Can I move the thread, or do Ihave to post it again?

I’ve moved it for you. Be sure to vote for it.

Thanks Wade! :+1:

Couldn’t agree more. I’m forever needing to dive into MUSE to see which preset is enabled.

As an addition it would also be good to see the changed “*” flag displayed next to the preset name upfront.
