Welcome to the forum! The Fiio M23 is not a Roon Ready certified device, so to use it with Roon, you’ll need to install the Roon app on the device and then go to Roon Settings → Audio, and enable the local Android output for the Fiio. Then the device should be avaliable in the zone picker. Hope this helps!
· Mac is my Roon server. I have FiiO M23 enabled but it will not show in the Zone Picker.

The Roon app is on the device. It came with the app on the device. The Roon app on the device shows every audio file I possess. Also, the Roon app on M23 has connected seamlessly with my Qobuz account. M23 shows up on the Roon app on my Mac and I enabled it there. But I cannot get M23 to show I the Zone Picker. Does your remedy advice still apply?
Could you please share screenshots from the following locations so we can check the configuration?
On your Android device (FiiO): Go to Settings > Audio and screenshot the list of available endpoints.
On your MacBook Pro: Go to Settings > Audio and screenshot all available devices, including those labeled "
http://localhost
." Your FiiO should normally appear here.
One thing to try immediately:
If you see the FiiO listed on your Mac but cannot enable it, please try renaming the device and pressing Done. This often forces the zone to become active.
Please let us know if that helps, or share the screenshots if you are still stuck.
Just to reiterate, this device hasn’t yet undergone Roon Ready certification, so it will not appear as a Roon Ready network Zone.
The local system output’s availability on the FiiO itself as a Zone will depend on the Android implementation. If you can share a screenshot or a photo of the available Zones within the FiiO UI, we may be able to assist with more granularity.
Please also share a screenshot of the Roon Settings → Audio page.
