Finding a specific file type and listing all

How do I find all APE files in my collection and displaying them in Roon?
Can I customize the header with Sample Rates & File Types?

Roon does not support ape files, you will need to convert them to another type.

Hi,

Roon does not support APE files, so they will not be listed in Roon at all.
You will have to transcode them to a supported format using an external tool such as dBpoweramp.

what file format do you recommend transferring to?
Also, can the header be made to show sample rate and file type?

Will let Carl carry on with this one.
See the hyperlink I posted in my previous post FLAC or ALAC are very popular as lossless wrappers.
Sorry I don’t really follow what you mean [which header?] can you be more specific.

Can I add “Sample Rate”, “File Tyoe” to Track name, Length, Artist, etc?
Thanks

No, but there has been a feature request posted for more information to be displayed on the Browse Tracks screen.
So maybe one day it will be there.

Thanks Carl.

Also, can i play a track by double click it without having to confirm on another screen?

To find and list specific file types you don’t need to put anything in the file name. You can use focus in Roon to find various formats and resolutions.

Just select albums or tracks and then focus and then check the file types and or resolutions you want to narrow down to.

Of course this only works for files types that Roon recognizes.

Hi again Paul,

Have a read of this One Click Play Please.

There is quite a lot of discussion on the forum that can be found using the search function.

It can be quite a steep learning curve.

Thanks
Focus works.

Thanks
Seems to be a sensitive issue.
